Travel Packing List

The most popular question we have heard so far is…..”How do you pack for a trip like that?”  So we have decided to give you a rundown of each of our backpacks.  We both purchased Osprey Farpoint packs and are loving them so far.  They have detachable day packs for ease of use.  We have packed and repacked multiple times to try to make them as light as possible since we will be carrying them on our backs.

Here is what’s in Christine’s pack….

4 tank tops
4 short sleeve shirts
3 long sleeve shirts
2 long pants
3 pairs of shorts
3 dresses
1 bathing suit

5 pairs of underwear

With all this in our packs, Christine’s weighs 24lbs and Wes’s weighs 28lbs.  Pretty impressive, right?!  Hope this answers some of your questions.  We are enjoying the afternoon in Phoenix and will be on our way to Fiji tonight!  Until next time…

  5. Impressive work with the packing! How are you finding the Osprey backpacks? Do you take them as cabin baggage, or check them as luggage? (We're tossing up between the 40 and 55 for my husband, and wondering if he needs the extra space). Anyway, good work with fitting all those things in and your packs still being so light!

  6. Google brought me here researching this pack since I impulse bought it because I saw a closeout deal and found it hard to resist... ended up getting the Farpoint 55 in the same colour as yours for $66. It's starting to look like I got a pretty good pack for the money.
